People for a Healthy Community – A great resource for Islanders

People for a Healthy Community – PHC Gabriola Island is a non-profit social services agency and community resource centre.  PHC Gabriola works to support the health and well-being of all members of our community by offering a range of essential services.

Over the past few weeks we were in need of helping to  finding resources such as caretakers, housecleaners, food options, etc, for relatives on the island.  Even with as many amazing connections as we have in the community, putting together a list seemed daunting with everything else happening.  Thankfully I came across the most wonderful thorough list that People for a Healthy Community put together which had everything we were looking for and more, check out the resource online at http://www.phcgabriola.org/programs/help-home .

In addition there is a lot of information, and resources and is worth checking out if you haven’t done so recently, and the beautiful artwork that adorns this site was done by Tina Lynch – proud sister moment :)

Also a friendly reminder that Gabriola Ambulance Society , offers exceptional value for those finding they might need the services, it’s easy to sign up for a membership, and there are so many benefits included.
